Abalone shell
The Abalone shell is a natural product, which means that one shell is slightly larger than the other. There are small, natural holes in it, which provide excellent air supply. The Abalone shells are around 16cm in size.
The shell is brightly colored with a beautiful mother-of-pearl sheen. The shell takes thousands of years to become a beautiful mother-of-pearl shell. The outside of the shell is rough, which means that it is provided with sand and is therefore not as beautifully polished as the inside.
White sage is usually burned in an abalone shell. The symbolism is that the 4 elements are united; the shell represents the element water, the sage itself represents the element earth, the smoldering part is the element fire, and the smoke is the element air.
